AME Today is 10 years old!
When the late Rev. John Fisher began this revolutionary work in 1999, he did it with a fervor. A.M.E. Today was the site to find out what was going on in the Connection. I took many of those duties over in 2004, at the request of the people who were participating in the discussion forum, when he passed away. While I was able to keep the discussion forum going, A.M.E. Today fell by the wayside.
This site and the discussion board ame-today.net are and will continune to be free. As many of you know, web sites take time and money to maintain, and these two are no exception. The only contributions that I would like to see are each of you contributing to the site with comments and stories, occasionally clicking on a link or two, and by telling friends.
I hope you like the look and feel of this site to celebrate the 10th anniversary.
That being said, I need people to assist me in this endeavor and report what is going on in the connection. If you would like to contribute articles, Op-Eds, and such, send me an e-mail telling me why. Upon approval, you will become an editor, with the rights to post any article you see fit in on this site. Thank you in advance for your support and service.

After reaquinting myself with the internet and not finding this site there, I must say, I was disappointed. Oh! but tonight, how happy I am to click on ametoday, and find this sight. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I hope that others will tell others and will submit articles. I pray that I will be able to assist.

I left the following comment in, perhaps, the wrong location on this site (Staff) so I leave it again here. I am happy to see this tool but, I found it quite by accident as a Lay member. My questions are these: 1) How can Lay member use this tool for communications (publication polocy(s); and, 2) Do you or others have plans to publish an Indexed, online version of the Church Discipline??
As a communicator, researcher, and commUNITY developer, I could offer my computer technology skills to add to the effectiveness of this tool. Thank you for your response and further discussions. God Bless the Works of Our Hands!!
I forgot to answer the rest of your post.
I will change your status to contributor. You are free to post AME-church related material as long as it does not violate intellectual property rights or a standard TOS from a typical website.
