Dear Family, please accept our deepest, heart-felt sympathy and condolences on the Homegoing of that Great Man of God, Pastor Earl Green. You blessed our ministry from the very beginning…Always a pillar of strength to the weak, always a balm to the sick; always caring, loving and kind. We prayed together, sang together, showed the world the greatest power of all: unconditional love. We named you Christ’s ‘Walking Hymnal’. You are a Gleaming Jewel in the King’s Golden Crown, Pastor Earl Green. For many, worship service at FAME was never the same without Rev. Earl Green’s triumphant pronouncement, “I was glad when they said unto me, let us go unto the House of the Lord; Our feet shall stand within Thy Gates Oooooooooooooooh Jerusalem!” Amen.

It is with deepest sorrow that I heard of the passing of the Reverend Earl Green. We served together in Germany with the 5th Division red Diamond Chorus. He was a most popular member. We referred to each other as “Cuz”. We were very close, as he was with each and every member of the Chorus. In a manly way he was the sweetest guy I ever met. I was pleasured to visit him in Los Angles and he visited me twice here in West Virginia. I don’t believe he ever met a stranger. He was always glad handing everyone. He was a Christian man in every sense of the word. You wish there were more Earl “Cuz” Greens.
