Harrodsburg church to observe Women’s Day

Cheryl D. Walker of Louisville, an ordained associate minister, will be a speaker for a Women’s Day program at the 11 a.m. Sunday service at St. Peter AME Church.
Mary McAdoo of Harvest Time Assembly of God in Somerset, will be the 3:30 p.m. speaker.
Walker is the wife of the Rev. T. Vaughn Walker, senior pastor of First Gethsemane Baptist Church in Louisville. She has served the church in numerous teaching capacities, and has conducted workshops and retreats throughout the country and in Germany.
Walker, a native of Silver Springs, Md., holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Hampton University and a master’s in counseling psychology from University of Louisville. She has completed graduate work toward a doctorate and is completing her studies at Spaulding University.
She has worked in seven federal agencies and as a human resources professions. She is currently a director of compliance and investigations for Jefferson County Public Schools in Louisville.
Ashley Dunn, Jessica Browning and pastor, Ralph Boyd Smith are members of the program committee.
