work throughout his denomination and nationally as well revolves around the
unique challenges and needs of today’s youth. He provides a powerful
exhortation to young people in saying, "Time and again we tell our young
people the things they can’t do. ‘You can’t do this and you can’t do
that.’ It is time that we start telling our young people the things they can
do. They can be accepted as they are. They can live lives of purpose and
destiny. They can find trustworthy friendships and relationships. They can
remove themselves from the pain and disappointment of their past. They can be
free from drugs. They can be hopeful for their future and as the Church we
have the answer for them in the person of Jesus Christ."
Pastor Wilson is constantly challenging
his members to raise the standard of ministry through excellence. "For me
this is an evolution and I am constantly growing. I will be the first to tell
my congregation that I am not perfect, I do and will continue to make
mistakes." He says, "This church or my affiliation with it is not a
job. This is my life and I am strongly committed to doing Gods will. It is my
responsibility to make sure that my congregation feels and acts
accordingly."
