The Philadelphia District Church School's Annual workshop, under the leadership of  Presiding Elder Carl D. Ogden, Sr. and District Superintendent Jeanne Chavious, was held Saturday morning, March 3, 2001, into the early afternoon, at Mother Bethel AME Church 419 S. 6th Street Philadelphia.,

 Its theme was "The Power of the Holy Spirit."   Over 100 youth and adults came out for the inspiring workshop. 

The focus was how to teach effectively.  How to keep students of all ages involved and interested in the material.  

Also, it took time to show how modern technology and multi-media can be integrated into the teaching process.  

The  presenters were Rev. Dr. Alberta Jones, Rev. Vernon Ross, and Rev. John Fisher, editor and publisher of A.M.E. Today.
