On Wednesday, September
13th, at 2 p.m.,
final services were held for Episcopal Supervisor, Mrs. Edith White Ming.
The services were held before an overflow gathering at St. Matthew's A.M.E.
Church on 57th and Summer Streets in Philadelphia. Mrs. Ming was world
renown for her love of music, and appropriately the service was rich with music,
provided by an ad hoc choir drawn from throughout the Connectional Church.
A host of Bishops and General Officers were in attendance and Bishop Vinton
Anderson, who provided the eulogy, based his talk on Mrs. Ming's favorite
admonition "Press On!" Following the service, interment was in
Ivy Hills Cemetery. For full details of the service [Click
