I am a Community builder with HUD in Minneapolis MN.

Once a year HUD announces it Program funding for 30 different categories, its called the Super NOFA.

The Super NOFA was released on Feb. 23, 2000 announcing more than $2.4 billion in funding.

If churches are involved in community development act ivies these programs could provide needed funding.

Information on the super NOFA can be found on the HUD web page http://www.hud.gov/fundsavl.html

During the months of March and April HUD holds satellite broadcasts on each of the funding categories.

The community can view these broadcasts at their local state HUD office.

If individuals wish to receive the program booklets and applications they should call HUD Super NOFA Information center 1 800 HUD-8929 or they can download the information from the web side.

There are Community builders in all HUD offices that can assist individuals seeking more information and clarification on the Super NOFA.
