Pastor plans restoration of historic black church (Suburban Journals)

Visitors to the Quinn Chapel AME Church in Carondelet one morning last week watched as a large chunk of drywall dropped from the ceiling of the church’s vestibule.

Bomb threat disrupts services at church of Detroit council hopeful (Detroit Free Press)

The Detroit Police Department received a call, claiming there were explosives in St. Paul AME Church around 8:50 a.m. today.
