YMCA branch transfers building to church

The Capital District YMCA has announced an agreement to transfer the building at 274 Washington Avenue to Israel AME Church. The YMCA’s final day in operation there will be April 30.

Plans announced for YMCA building at Washington Ave.

ALBANY — The building currently housing the Capital District YMCA at 274 Washington Ave. will continue to serve as a community center when it is transferred to Israel AME Church in June, CDYMCA president David Brown announced Thursday.

Brother, sister homicide victims laid to rest in Paxtang Cemetery

A Harrisburg brother and sister, killed last Saturday in an act of domestic violence in Harrisburg, were buried in Paxtang Cemetery on Saturday after a funeral service in Bethel Village AME Church.
