Tell A Friend!

The contest is over and Richard Allen would be proud of the youth who today are part of the denomination he founded.

I  hope you are proud of them too, especially the 11 that are represented on the following pages as the finalists of A.M.E. Today's First Annual Founder's Day Essay Contest.

The compositions came from all across the denomination.  Some of the authors are young, others are approaching adulthood, but the thread of  being proud to be an A.M.E. can be found  woven through each and every  piece.

The  voting now has concluded.  The results now are in.  But  it did not take a vote to let anyone know that all of the authors are winners.

Now  you can see the names and ages that go with the essays.  Congratulations go out to Claynishia McGhee, 15,  author of essay 1, who drew the highest vote count and who will receive a $50 U.S. Savings Bond from A.M.E. Today .
