Birthday Richard Allen. Only if you were still around, maybe you
could see the influence you have had on the church or even the
sinners who stand around. Maybe you could attend a service and see
what has become of the Methodist Episcopal church that you long ago
broke away from. I think that you would be honored to be an AME. I
think you would be pleased with what our churches have grown to be.
You were a great influence in the church while you were on this
earth; and when you left, your soul arised and was known as a
religious rebirth. A new beginning for your followers and the ones
who looked up to you. You have influenced my church because your
picture is hanging in our vestibule. Little did you know, that while
you were worshipping in church that AME will last always as long as
we keep God first. You are still important in 2001 because the AME
Church is still going strong.
