Morris Brown Seeks Financial Angels

Via E-Mail: Morris Brown College Alumni/Board of Trustees members Leroy Smith, Virgil Hodges, Gregory Jackson and Robert Barnett invite Morris Brown College alumni, friends and support organizations to join them in forming and financing an entity to purchase and control $3 million dollars of existing liens that are secured by all of the property on the Morris Brown College campus excluding out parcels:  Middleton Complex, Jordan Hall and the Administration Building.

The properties that secure these liens are appraised at a value exceeding $50 million dollars.  It is our hope and belief that there are enough business minded supporters that will invest $3 million dollars to purchase and control liens on properties with a value over $50 million dollars.

The existing liens become due in approximately 30 days and the private investor that purchased the CitiBank bonds for the three (3) out parcels has already expressed his intent to acquire the $3 millions dollars liens.  This action will not be in the best interest of Morris Brown College.

Therefore, if you are interested in participating in this business venture, please send an e-mail to robertbarnettjr@bellsouth.net expressing your interest and the approximate amount that you would consider investing.

An organization meeting will be scheduled March 17, 2006, on the campus if e-mail responses merit a meeting.  Together, we can Save Morris Brown College.  Please pass this invitation on to other Morris Brown College Alumni and friends.
