Tell A Friend!

No Satan's Fool
By Rev. John Fisher

It's a new month!

People usually do silly things on this day.

Newspapers publish bogus articles. People play tricks on you.  Then the punchline is April Fool.

I am not sure how that came into being.  Why people all decide to be tricksters on this particular day.

They all want to see if they can fool you.

Satan treasts every day like April 1st.

He tries to fool you into doing his bidding.

Things are made to look more attractive than what they are.  Situations are arranged to seem appealing.

But at the end Satan, does not come jumping out yelling April Fool.

No, he sits back quietly and gloats over his victory.

And his victim?

Often they do not realize they have been victimized.

They might think they are having a great time.

Sin and fun both are three letter words and often are found walking hand-in-hand.

If sin was nasty and disgusting, nobody would engage in it.

The results are nasty and disgusting to your soul but the participation in it, usually is fleshly fun.

Even when you know better Satan has a way of leading you along the paths of transgression.   Of getting you to soil yourself in the muck and mire.

Satan doesn't say April Fool.

He will play tricks on you.  But he does not limit his activity to one day.

Every day, we have to be aware of Satan.  Aware that he may be trying to play us for the fool.

For Satan does not say April Fool.

He just waits for us to act the fool regardless of the month.

Jesus will give you discernment.  He will help you see through Satan's ploy.

Then when you feel Satan trying to make you into a fool, you can stand upright in Jesus and say Get Behind Me Satan.  I will not be a fool for you!

Today, without doubt, someone will try to play an April Fool trick on you.

Don't let it be Satan, today or any day.

Remember Satan does not say April Fool.
